ABOUT
Shannon Ryan is an engagement leader, partnership strategist, community builder, and long-time advocate for health and inclusion. With career spanning universities, government, industry bodies and non-profit organisations, Shannon specialises in helping organisations strengthen the way they engage, collaborate and communicate.
He has delivered major national programs, led industry partnerships, built cross-sector collaborations, and supported innovation across education, health, entrepreneurship and community development here in Australia and overseas (Timor-Leste / India).
Shannon is also deeply passionate about health advocacy as a proud 40-year Type 1 diabetic, and his journey with Diabetes shapes how he leads and serves. He is training for the 2026 New York Marathon and putting his effort where his mouth is—raising funds, raising awareness, and most importantly, physically preparing to go the distance for Breakthrough T1D.
